New Year goals?

We are currently 10days into the New Year '23. Have you all stuck to your New Year new me stuff? Did you even set a what you wanted to do?

Most of us set these unrealistic goals that we usually give up on. To those of you who MAKE AND STICK TO IT.... GOOD ON YOU!!!!

I am not the greatest at sticking to the changes that I want to make. I have found that the older I get the more realistic my goals become.

My Goals this year...

  1. wear a mask at work

  2. stick to my heart healthy diet- Dr Set..

  3. stay active and keep my heart/ lungs strong

  4. get married

  5. get back to working on my art

These are some of my goals. The big ones are ones I have had year after year... well at least for almost 14years now. Always try to be a better mother. I constantly feel like I am failing. I love both of my boys to pieces and try as hard as I can. I am not sure if it is because they are boys or their High functioning ASD that they push back so much.... any ways I am off topic.

If we keep our goals small and set deadlines, we will be more successful in obtaining them. Set a date that you want to reach this goal by. Then remember if it seems overwhelming then break it down into smaller parts. Do one thing at a time. We cannot walk or run without taking that first step.

Example... getting in shape? Well, I do not have time. Siting at a desk or on the couch, do heal raises or lift your toes. Standing at the sink or making food, do calf raises. When you wake up do a little stretch... I mean we do it when we wake up anyways. If you work in an office. Park further away, set your printer to one that is not so close to you. Stand up every once in a while and stretch a bit. All of these things will add up. Not enough for you? There are so many short workout videos on YouTube that you can squeeze into your day.
